Getting Started in Online, Hybrid, Blended, Hyflex Courses at SUNY Niagara

Welcome to SUNY Niagara! You have chosen to study with us. You are currently enrolled in an (online, hybrid, blended, or hyflex) course for the upcoming semester. The Summer semester starts on May 20, 2024, and the Fall Semester begins on September 3rd. Please note that specific module courses may have different start times, so be sure to check your course schedule on Banner Web for more details.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
The course will open in Brightspace 5 days prior to the actual start date of the course.  Check the course tile for access start date. We do this to give you an opportunity to review the course content. Take a moment to read the announcements, course syllabus, schedule, and “Welcome-Getting Stared” instructions posted by your instructor.

Step 1: Use your T-Wolves username and password to log in to Brightspace. If you Forgot Brightspace/ T-Wolves/Office 365 Password contact OIT at (716)-210-2505, twolvesassistance@niagaracc.suny.edu

Access Brightspace through the SUNY Niagara website —> MySUNY Niagara—> click on Brightspace. Ensure you log in before the course start date to guarantee access. For further assistance, email gfox@niagaracc.suny.edu, call 716-614-6488, or watch video to learn how to login to Brighspace.

Step 2: Access your course by logging in and checking the schedule, syllabus, and professor’s announcements. Your professor provides a “Welcome-Start Here!” guide for course initiation and required materials. For blended courses, the announcement should include Zoom login details for the first class, so mark the live Zoom class times on your schedule.  If the course is Hyflex you can choose your preference and change the mode on how you attend from one class meeting to the next as needed. The days/times listed in Banner Web are the times you can choose to attend the class on campus/virtual, check the course announcement or syllabus.
