At our world-class Niagara Falls Culinary Institute, students will receive a culinary education along with learning the latest cooking trends in the industry. Our hospitality students will learn from experienced instructors while taking courses at the epicenter of one of the largest tourist attractions in the world, Niagara Falls USA.

Baking & Pastry Arts,
A.A.S.

You’re invited to devour courses in Bread, Rolls & Breakfast Pastries; Cakes and Tortes; Candies and Confections; Specialty Cakes, and Showpieces, just to name a few. Students will gain broad experience in college course work while their main focus stays within the Baking and Pastry major.

Baking & Pastry Arts,

Students are equipped with the fundamental techniques of baking, will learn food safety, and are trained in purchasing and costing. The certificate program features only courses relevant to the baking and pastry arts industry.

Culinary Arts,
A.A.S.

Our curriculum will take you on a gastronomic journey through American and international cuisines, wines, sauces, baking, and restaurant experience at our own fine dining restaurant, Savor. This in-depth program also gives students the opportunity to explore other Liberal Arts topics, creating well-rounded graduates prepared to take on any task within their career.

Culinary Skills,

This two-semester program will provide you with a fast-track to a culinary career, leading to opportunities as a banquet cook, line cook, or pantry cook. The program provides students with basic culinary techniques through hands-on experience in our state-of-the-art labs and on-campus fine dining restaurant, Savor.

Hospitality Management,

Hotel and Restaurant Management is a constantly growing field where now, more than ever, customers are seeking an experience, not just a destination. Our Hospitality degree will teach you how to connect with your clients, provide world-class service, and prepare you to work at recreation centers, tourist attractions, clubs, casinos, and convention centers.

Our Faculty

NFCI’s faculty members are equipped with degrees in education, culinary, and hospitality programs. They are certified by the American Culinary Federation and have worked in various venues such as the Hyatt, Hilton, and Radisson hotels as well as various private clubs in Western New York. They are graduates of top-ranked culinary institutions such as Johnson and Wales and the Culinary Institute of America. SUNY Niagara believes in employing instructors with the highest degree of education as well as work experience to enhance the student’s learning experience.

Unique Location and Learning Environment

Our state-of-the-art Culinary Institute is situated in the heart of one of the biggest tourist destinations in the world: Niagara Falls, NY, USA. Opened in 2012, our modern labs and tools are available for students to use as they are trained in both classic and trendy techniques. Within our Institute, students will experience:

  • Immersion circulators for sous vide techniques

Hands-On Learning

Students will gain real-world experience in the service industry within our on-site fine dining restaurant, Savor, and bakery, La Patisserie. Students will experience front of the house, back of the house, and line cooking positions to learn the skills that create memorable experiences for our guests.

Bachelor’s Degree through Empire State College

SUNY Niagara and SUNY Empire State College have partnered to offer students at SUNY Niagara’s Niagara Falls Culinary Institute (NFCI) a pathway to earn a Bachelor of Professional Studies in business, management, and economics, with a concentration in culinary management, from Empire State College. The pathways agreement guarantees admission for SUNY Niagara students who complete their Associate in Applied Science in culinary arts into Empire State College’s bachelor’s program. Coursework will be provided through a blend of traditional classes at NFCI and online learning.
