W Grade – Withdrawal From a Course

Drop or Withdraw from a Class Form

To withdraw from a course, a student is required to complete the Drop or Withdraw from a Class form online which will identify the course being dropped. The student must complete and submit the form for processing by the published deadlines.

Course withdrawals are permitted through the end of the 13th week of a Fall or Spring (16 weeks) semester, or before 85 percent completion of modular classes, summer classes, or classes offered during the winter intersession. Please consult the Enrollment Center as there are specific deadlines for deleting a course from the student’s schedule, versus deadlines for issuing W grades. The specific date for filing the Request will be published in the Student Calendar found on the Records Office webpage. The grade of W will not affect the student’s grade-point average, but may negatively impact the student’s academic standing and/or ability to receive financial aid.
